Acknowledgments Policy

Authors who use data from the National Cancer Data Repository (NCDR) should acknowledge the NCIN and the National Disease Registration Service (NCRS) using the following wording or an appropriate equivalent in all publications:

"This work makes use of data from the National Cancer Data Repository prepared by the National Cancer Intelligence Network in association with the National Disease Registration Service and the cancer registries of Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland.”

Please note:

NCIN bears no responsibility for the further analysis or interpretation of data provided, over and above that published by NCIN. Unless NCIN has participated in the preparation of the finished report, it must be stated that the responsibility for the interpretation of the data is the authors’ alone.

Publications, including poster presentations for conferences, may use the NCIN ‘data supplied by’ logo. This is available by contacting the communications at ncin dot org.uk link Communications Team . Use of this logo does not constitute an endorsement of the work being published.

Authors are requested to send the NCIN copies of all works using data supplied by the NCIN upon publication.

By using data prepared by the NCIN, the user agrees to the NCIN publishing the title of the project and the chief investigator’s institution once data have been released.
