Understanding Cancer E-learning
Understanding Cancer was launched in April 2012 as an e-learning programme aimed primarily at MDT Co-ordinators and Cancer Registration staff. It is also likely to be of interest to other non-clincial staff working in the area of cancer. The course covers a range of topics including an easy to understand overview of how cancer services are organised in the NHS, information about tests and treatments and detailed information by tumour site.
Each module has been developed and reviewed by clinical experts in the field and the course has been accredited by the Institute of Healthcare Management (IHM). There are now around 40 modules available and additional modules planned include Cancers affecting Children, Teenagers and Young Adults and Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP).

2014 USER SURVEY - REPORT NOW AVAILABLE
We would like to thank all those who took part in our User Survey in February and are pleased to inform you that the final report has now been produced. The findings from the report confirmed almost unanimous support for the course, with 98% finding it useful and 83% rating it excellent or very good. Respondents' suggestions for future modules were in line with the current development plans. Download the full Understanding Cancer User Survey Report 2014.
