NCRAS aims to assist commissioners and others involved in managing health services or setting policy to make best use of the information available through our tools and reports.
Tools and publications
The Cancer Commissioning Toolkit is web based database to support commissioners access key cancer information and data The Toolkit also incorporates access to profilesGP Practice Profiles.
NCRAS prepares national, sub-national and cancer type specific analyses in collaboration with partner organisations. These reports cover a range of aspects of cancer and its treatment, including areas of inequality, at strategic clinical network or clinical commissing group level.

Commissioners may also be interested in our work defining cancer datasets for collection across the NHS. The NHS contract for acute services requires Trusts to supply the Cancer Outcomes and Services Dataset to the registration service; commissioners have an important role to play in ensuring that the required data are flowing to NCRAS to allow monitoring of the service and to inform future commissioning decisions.
